01 Agreement to these terms
These terms are a legal agreement between you and Lead II ("Lead II", "we", "us"). They apply whenever you visit lead-ii.com, use the free demo, or hold a paid subscription or one-time licence.
By creating an account or making a purchase you accept these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the service.
You must be at least 16 years old, and old enough to enter a binding contract where you live, to buy a subscription.
02 What Lead II is — and is not
Lead II is an educational tool. It is not a medical device. It does not provide diagnosis, and nothing in it substitutes for clinical judgment, institutional protocol, or supervision by a qualified clinician.
Every tracing in Lead II is generated from a mathematical model. None are recorded from, or drawn from, identifiable patients.
Nothing in Lead II should be used to make a real clinical decision about a real person. You are responsible for how you apply what you learn, and for working within the supervision, scope of practice and protocols that apply to you.
We don't promise that using Lead II will produce any particular result, qualification, exam outcome or level of competence.
03 Your account
You need an account to use the paid course. Keep your login details to yourself — you're responsible for everything that happens under your account.
An account is for one person. Please don't share logins, or buy one subscription for a group. If you want access for a team or a teaching programme, email us and we'll sort something out.
Tell us promptly at sales@lead-ii.com if you think someone else has got into your account.
04 Plans, pricing and payment
Lead II is sold as a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, or a one-time purchase. The prices shown at checkout apply to your order, including any tax we're required to collect.
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record for your purchase. Your card statement will show a Lemon Squeezy descriptor rather than "Lead II". Their terms and privacy policy apply to the payment itself alongside these terms.
You can manage your subscription, payment method and billing details at any time through the billing portal linked inside the app.
05 Automatic renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period — monthly plans every month, annual plans every year — at the plan's then-current price, until you cancel.
If we ever change the price of your plan, we'll tell you before the change takes effect, and you'll have the chance to cancel before you're charged the new amount.
06 Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel whenever you like, from the billing portal in the app. Cancelling stops all future charges.
When you cancel, your access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for, and then stops. We don't pro-rate or refund the unused part of a period.
Renewal refund. If a subscription renews and you didn't want it to, cancel and email us within 7 days of that renewal charge and we'll refund it in full.
This is a one-time courtesy: it's available once per account, on the first renewal charge you ask us to refund. Renewal charges after that are non-refundable. Where we refund a renewal, your access ends when the refund is issued rather than running to the end of the period.
To request it, email sales@lead-ii.com from the address on your account and mention the charge. Refunds go back to the original payment method and typically take a few business days to appear.
One-time purchases are a single payment with no recurring billing, and are non-refundable once access has been granted, except where the law says otherwise.
None of this limits any statutory right to cancel or to a refund that you have under consumer law where you live. Where those rights are more generous than this section, they apply.
07 Acceptable use
While using Lead II, please don't:
- share, resell, sublicense or publish the course material, in whole or in part;
- share your account, or let others use your access;
- copy, scrape, download in bulk, or attempt to extract the underlying content or code;
- reverse engineer the waveform engine or any other part of the software;
- use Lead II to build a competing product, or to train a machine-learning model;
- interfere with the service, its security, or anyone else's use of it;
- present Lead II output as though it came from a real patient recording.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. Where a breach is serious — redistributing the material, for instance — we may do so without a refund.
08 Intellectual property
Lead II, including its text, design, waveform engine, generated tracings, drills and branding, belongs to us and is protected by copyright and other laws.
Your purchase buys a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the material for your own learning. It does not transfer ownership of anything, and it ends if your access ends.
You're welcome to use what you learn in your own practice and teaching. You're not permitted to redistribute our material as your own.
09 Availability and changes
We work to keep Lead II available and accurate, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be unavailable during maintenance, updates, or because of problems outside our control.
We may add, change or remove features over time. If we ever discontinue the service entirely while you're on a paid plan, we'll give you reasonable notice and refund the unused portion of your term.
10 Disclaimers and liability
Lead II is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties that aren't expressly stated here, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and accuracy of content.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability arising out of or relating to Lead II is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
11 Privacy
We collect only what we need to run your account and process your payment: your name, email address, login credentials and order history. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor and are never stored by us.
We don't sell your personal information. You can ask us to correct or delete your account data by emailing sales@lead-ii.com.
12 Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If a change materially affects your rights, we'll let subscribers know by email or in the app before it takes effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
Continuing to use Lead II after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
13 Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in Delaware will have jurisdiction over any dispute, except that consumers may bring claims in the courts of their own country of residence where local law requires it.
